Meet Maple & KOa
Maple and Koa are the heart of our little dairy. They are A2 Jersey cows, a breed we love for their sweet personalities, smaller stature, and beautifully rich, creamy milk.
Jersey milk is naturally known for its higher butterfat and protein content compared with milk from many other common dairy breeds, giving it that wonderfully creamy texture and rich flavor. Maple and Koa also produce milk containing only the A2 form of beta casein protein, rather than a combination of A1 and A2. Some families specifically seek out A2 milk, which is one of the reasons we chose A2 cows for our herd.
Because our dairy is intentionally small, Maple and Koa aren't simply part of a herd. We know them individually, from their personalities and preferences to their daily routines, and their health and well being will always come before milk production.
A NOTE ABOUT MAPLE
Before coming to Haven Hollows, Maple received the standard Brucellosis vaccination, commonly called the “Bangs” vaccine prior to one year of age. We encourage every herd share family to learn about raw milk, our cows, and the practices that matter to them so they can make informed choices for their own family.

Herd share information
Our herd share is a simple way to bring fresh, local raw milk home while knowing exactly where it comes from.
When you join Haven Hollows, you aren't purchasing milk from us. Instead, you enter into a herd share agreement and purchase an ownership interest in our dairy herd. Your monthly herd share fee helps cover the care, feeding, housing, milking, and upkeep of Maple and Koa. In return, you receive your share of the milk produced by the herd.
Milk is provided fresh each week for pickup here at the farm. Because our dairy is intentionally small, memberships are limited based on what Maple and Koa naturally produce.
It is a little different from buying milk at the grocery store, and that's exactly what we love about it. You know your farm, you know your farmer, and you can even know the cows behind the milk in your fridge.
How It Works
01. JOIN THE HERD
Start with a $15 one time herd share fee to purchase your ownership interest in our dairy herd and become an official Haven Hollows herd share member.
02. GET YOUR FARM JARS
There is a $25 one time jar fee when you join. Your milk will be provided in reusable glass half gallon jars that can be returned and exchanged at each pickup.
03. CHOOSE YOUR WEEKLY SHARE
A share providing one gallon of raw milk per week is $20 per week. Your ongoing share payment helps cover the care, feeding, housing, milking, and upkeep of Maple and Koa.
04. PICK UP AT THE FARM
Your portion of the herd's fresh raw milk will be ready on your scheduled pickup day each week. Bring back your empty jars, pick up your fresh ones, and you're all set.
